What is Law Of Attraction

What if I told you there was a way to shape your future while allowing your dreams to come true just by focusing and aligning your thoughts?

What I am about to share with you is not mere positive thinking and aimless dreaming without purpose but rather a law of the universe not any different from gravity itself.

Your Thoughts Create Reality

I am referring of course to the ‘Law of Attraction’. In part, it could be described as a magnetic power within our universe that draws energy to energy or simply, like attracts like. More specifically, how it relates to us and our thoughts is a bit more complex and deliberate. It basically says you realize what you think about most, good or bad. Here’s an age-old quote that might simplify my point:

“Whether you think you can or cannot, either way, you’re right”

Now, you would probably say that sounds like magic or wishful thinking and while certainly a magic-like experience, it’s not magic that creates it. It’s you. It’s entirely up to you. What you achieve in all areas of your life either financial, health, love, family or any other desire you have that paints the picture of what you want in life. Now, keep in mind, it does not have an instant effect just because you “think up” something. The law requires a deeper understanding of multiple levels both seen and unseen.  So, to better understand, we need to look at the different parts that determine success with the law of attraction.

Paradigms: The Conscience and Subconscious Mind

To keep this as simple as possible, a paradigm can be described as a fixed thought or belief that controls the actions we take and the results we see. For example, if you were told growing up that money is the root of all evil and that people that are rich are bad people, then you most likely will have no money and no rich friends.

You might not have even decided this thought on your own and have no clue where it came from. You see, when we are born we have no reference to the conscious world. We have no ideas or beliefs about anything in our environment good or bad. Why do we speak English? Because our parents spoke to that particular language to us whereas someone in Italy was raised hearing Italian. Same goes with how we see the world and make no mistake, these are powerful beliefs that shape the rest of our lives. These paradigms are rooted in our subconscious mind and often are the Blocks that prevent new ideas and habits from taking root.

This is very important in understanding how the law of attraction really works because you could have an intention to make a change or desire a certain object like a car or more money, but unless your conscience and subconscious mind are aligned with integrity, there is little chance you will realize your dream or desire. Think about it, when something you desire comes to reality, there is this feeling you could see it all the way through with no doubt you were going to have success? As we grow older we begin to desire things I life that may be in conflict with paradigms we have adopted from our environment (parents, family, community).

The Unseen

So how do we change the things that are in conflict from realizing our goals and dreams?
First, you need to be very clear as to what you want. You might say; I want more money, or I want to lose fat. The universe listens and the law is so precise that it will not respond to general requests but rather specific outcomes. For example, if you want more money I might say something like:

“I have $65,000 in income every 30 days through sales of my best selling book.
Or, I have lost 30 pounds in 45 days through eating clean foods and doing my morning fitness class. “

You see, you have to see yourself as already achieving the goal, so you feel it. That vibration or feeling is so real that your subconscious mind does not know if it’s real or you’re thinking it up! That is integrity or alignment with your stated goal. Now, you may not know how you might achieve a certain goal. The “how” is not the concern. When you ask the universe for a specific thing it will conspire to deliver that to you in the exact form you requested. No exceptions.

So, it is very important you are very clear in your thoughts and how you “talk” to yourself. This “self-talk” is one way (and there are more to discuss in later posts) you can change the sub-conscience mind to create a belief that what you are asking for is attainable. So, let’s go back to the example of the person who was told that money is the root of all evil. If that is your belief and you grew up with little or no money, then chances are you will not attract great wealth just by asking the universe for more money. That person’s “self-talk” to change a deep-rooted belief about money might go something like this:

“I am so happy and grateful that money and abundance flow into my life easily. I like money and I love people. I am deserving of all the money I desire.”

This active and constant bombardment of the subconscious mind will eventually change the way that person really thinks about money and people with money. Again, the law of attraction responds to energy and vibration through the thoughts we think and the things we tell ourselves,
so it is crucial we feel good and think positive thoughts as much as possible!

The Law of Attraction is Magical, but not Magic

To realize your dreams, you have to not only say that you will achieve it, but you also have to truly believe it and know that it is going to happen. As I said before the Law of Attraction is not magic, as a human being you know that if are doing nothing, then nothing will happen. You will never truly believe that something is going to happen if you are not doing anything. Makes sense right?

So to make sure that you know that, the particular thought will happen, you’ll have to work for it. Just when you are working on it, there shouldn’t be a doubt in your mind that it won’t succeed. It will succeed, maybe not exactly as you planned or imagined. Eventually, you will look back and see how that particular thought took months, or even years to became reality.
Which for me is a Magical Experience!
