Let’s Dance in the Rain

Grow Your Positivity is all about positive thinking, positive energy and as a result of achieving your goals and making your dreams reality. This post is going to be a little bit different because life can’t always be happy, joyful and fun and I am really glad it is not.

“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s learning to dance in the rain”

“Positive this and positive that but what if one of my family members is very sick and only has a limited amount of months to live, I don’t think I can see any positivity in that.” Is what someone told me who read my blog posts on GYP. I understood that with my posts about positive thinking & Law of Attraction I might have ignored the importance of negativity in one’s life. To shine some light on this topic I decided to write about it.

In an era where everyone is supposed to be positive, happy and showing it off on their social media channels. There is this upcoming stigma that when you have a negative thought, you are doing it wrong or even they claim you are not living the life. I am here to tell you, the founder of GYP that this is completely wrong. Negativity has a very important role to play in our lives. Eliminating all the negative feelings in our life is just not realistic and even unhealthy.

There will be obstacles on your journey and during these obstacles, you will feel those miserable emotions. Feeling these emotions during the lesser times is totally fine! Let those feelings flow and you know what, even scream it out if you need to. You shouldn’t feel worse just because all these people are telling you, you should be happy or positive.. You have to take your own time, to handle these emotions.

BUT

Don’t get lost in your sorrow, don’t cry yourself a river and drown in it. You have to let these feelings pass through your body. The time to feel sad depends on the obstacles that have been presented to you. At some point, as hard as it may sound at the moment, time will heal your wounds. The moment will arrive, that you make the decision that you cried enough. The moment you have to be strong and start building up yourself and positive thinking.

We should never forget the only reason we feel happiness is because we have felt sadness, the only reason why we feel cheerful is that we know what it is like to be angry and we only experience positive energy because there were negative energy ones. Both good and bad, need each other to exist in our lives. Yin & Yang is a good example of this too or The Law of Polarity. We as human beings just need to find a way of living to coexist with both these feelings.

There must be a positive and a negative in everything in the universe in order to complete a circuit or circle, without which there would be no activity, no motion.

I created GYP not because I wanted to eliminate negative thoughts, I wished that more people would know how to find the balance. Striving to become more positive, happy and satisfied with a hint of negative thoughts.
